Bay Street CondoHigh above the street, a quiet day with the city at the glass.

Location: Toronto, ON
Project: Condo interior
Where: Living, kitchen, bedrooms, baths, balcony
Palette: Grey, walnut, and green

Interior of a Bay Street condo in Toronto, with a grey sofa, a dark kitchen, and city windows.

The ask

The clients wanted this Bay Street condo in Toronto to live well above the street. The living room had to stay calm against the glass. The bedrooms were allowed to change colour, so the apartment would not repeat one mood from door to door.

The plan

The living room is the still room: a grey or brown sofa, a low table, and the city in the window. The kitchen goes darker, walnut cabinets and a patterned stone backsplash, with the island close to the sofa so a meal does not leave the view. One bedroom takes a sage wall. Another is wrapped in wood. A third stays white, with a simple bed and the glass beside it. The baths are pale, with stone at the vanity. The balcony is planted and seated, a small outdoor room at the same height as the day.

The walk-through

You come into the living room and the window does the introducing. The sofa is low, the kitchen is the darker note just beyond it, and the island is where the day pauses. The bedrooms are the change of key: green, then wood, then white. Pale baths bring the apartment back to quiet. Grey upholstery and walnut are the two materials that let those different rooms still be one condo.
