Downtown CondoEveryday life, held gently among the towers.

Location: Toronto, ON
Project: Condo interior
Where: Living, kitchen, bedroom, bath, balcony
Palette: Warm wood, grey, and brass

Interior of a downtown Toronto condo, with a wood kitchen, a grey sofa, and a balcony.

The ask

The clients wanted this downtown Toronto condo to feel collected, not staged for a single photograph. Cooking and sitting had to share a small plan. The bedroom needed to close, and the balcony needed to be furnished as if the city were part of the seating.

The plan

Warm wood cabinetry holds the kitchen, open to a pale floor and a grey sofa. A low wood table and brass-framed mirrors keep the living room from going flat. The bedroom stays soft: a grey upholstered bed, white bedding, and lamps at either side. The bathroom is white and quiet. On the balcony, a woven chair and a few plants take the view of the towers, so the outside is dressed in the same calm as the room it opens from.

The walk-through

You come into wood and daylight, the kitchen at your side and the sofa at the glass. The towers are the far wall. The bedroom is the quieter door, grey and white, and the bathroom is a short white sequence after it. The balcony is where the apartment exhales. Warm wood and a little brass are the thread. They let a small plan feel considered rather than filled.
